Nintendo have announced that the Wii mini, which was released in Canada last year, will be hitting the shelves in the UK on March 22nd.

The Wii mini has no official price as of yet – although it retailed at $99 CA at launch in Canada.

The Wii mini, unlike the original Wii, has no GameCube support and you will not be able to purchase VC titles or play online as the Wii mini has no online capabilities. It also lacks an SD card slot.

The Wii mini contains a red motion plus remote and red nunchuk, to following the consoles luscious red trim.

Along side the Wii mini’s release, Nintendo are adding these new titles to the Nintendo Select series: Mario Party 8, Wii Sports Resort, Mario Power Tennis and Super Paper Mario.

Are you happy that they’re releasing the Wii mini in the UK or will just create more confusion for consumers?
